Tuscany – from Chianti to the Etruscan Coast
3 days / 2 nights

Its breathtaking landscapes of green hills emphasized by the lines of cypress trees, olive groves and vineyards. Its villages have preserved their medieval appearance and for some their Etruscan remains. Homeland of the Sangiovese grape variety, Tuscany offers a wide range of tannic and full-bodied wines and a generous gastronomy.

  • Visiting Florence, Queen of the Renaissance.
  • Cooking class at « Le Cordon Bleu » in Florence. On the menu : fresh spaghetti and tiramisu to be prepared by yourself and then to taste at lunch with a regional wine.
  • Visiting a traditional farm producing Pecorino and Ricotta. Tasting of these local specialties.
  • Visiting the villages in the heart of Chianti : Radda, Castellina, Gaiole,… and wine tasting in an organic wine estate.
  • Visiting Siena, the city of the Palio, one of the prettiest cities of the “Bel Paese”.

Day 1 : Florence

  • Welcome to Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport and private transfer to your 4 or 5 star hotel in the centre of Florence
  • Lunch in a restaurant with a gorgeous panoramic view over the City.
  • Visiting Florence, the Church of San Lorenzo, the baptistery, the Duomo, the church of Or’San Michele, Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, the gardens of Boboli, San Miniato al Monte.
  • Time at disposal.
  • Free dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : Chianti and Siena

  • Cooking class at the school “Le Cordon Bleu”, in Florence and then lunch with the dishes you have prepared.
  • Visiting a wine estate in the heart of the Chianti and tasting of Chianti Classico DOCG.
  • Lunch at the estate’s restaurant.
  • Visiting Siena, The Gothic Cathedral of the XII, XIII and XIVth centuries, the Palazzo Piccolomini, the Tower of the Mangia of the 14th and the Piazza del Campo where each summer takes place the Palio.
  • Time at disposal in Siena.
  • Visiting an organic wine estate and tasting.
  • Visiting a traditional farm producing Pecorino and Ricotta. You learn the secrets of the production of these cheeses.
  • Free dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : the coast of Etruscans and San Gimignano

  • Transfer to Bolgheri, near the Tyrrhenian Coast.
  • Visiting a renowned wine estate – you get to know “Supertuscan” wines, produced from the blend of local and international grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah,…).
  • Lunch in a restaurant with the famous local beef from the Maremma.
  • Visiting San Gimignano, classified as World Heritage where 14 medieval towers are still proudly standing and overlooking a stunning Tuscan landscape.
  • Visiting a wine estate in San Gimignano and tasting of white wine DOCG Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
  • Back to Florence.
